Temperature-Activated Lock Ring
The temperature-activated lock ring is a precision-engineered retaining component made from a shape memory alloy (SMA). It is designed to maintain a locked configuration under ambient conditions and contract radially when exposed to temperatures exceeding the Austenite start temperature (Aₛ), enabling mechanical release or transition in safety-critical systems such as missile fuze.
